Thermal Chamber Test

Professional thermal testing service for lithium battery cells, modules & packs. UN 38.3, IEC 62133 & IEC 62619 compliant testing from -70°C to +180°C at ±10 K/min.
Our Vötsch VT 7130-10 thermal chamber offers a large 1,300-litre test space capable of accommodating full battery modules and packs up to 150 kg, making it suitable for both small-format cells and large-format EV/ESS battery systems.
We perform thermal cycling, cold soak, hot soak, and temperature shock tests in accordance with major international battery standards including UN 38.3 (transport certification), IEC 62133 (portable batteries), IEC 62619 (industrial applications), UL 1642, and SAE J2464. The chamber's precise ±10 K/min change rate and temperature range down to -70°C ensure reliable, reproducible test conditions across all battery chemistries including Li-ion, LiFePO₄, NMC, and solid-state.
Electrical and thermocouple feedthroughs allow in-situ charge/discharge cycling and cell-level temperature monitoring throughout testing. Data acquisition is handled via the S!MPAC controller with full test logging and reporting support.
Ideal for battery manufacturers, R&D labs, certification bodies, and automotive suppliers requiring third-party thermal validation.
