The Drone Test and Development Centre (DTDC) provides a safe, real-world environment for companies to test and develop drones, their applications, and their procedures.
The facilities offered include three 300m2 hangars dedicated as workshop spaces for UAS companies, with flexible workbench options for those looking for short term leases. The recently resurfaced 270m runway also offers four dedicated landing pads for vertical, or vertical to horizontal take-off. The DTDC is an ideal location for unmanned specialist companies to test and develop their vehicles and sensors due to multiple flying areas with no conflicting general aviation traffic, an accessible location in Buckinghamshire, good transport links and a low residential density. Future plans include site development for Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) capabilities and pilot training.
Located at Westcott Venture Park in Buckinghamshire, set up by the Satellite Applications Catapult to facilitate innovation and operations in the unmanned sector.
