Electron radiation testing

The site provides uniform low energy electron beam (0.2 - 0.3 MeV) over a large beam spot area through a robotic arm in Fraunhofer, Germany. Irradiation of solar cells, optics, polymers, … are carried out. BEAMIDE has developed complex irradiation boxes to operate in multiple environments. These boxes have a stainless steel body (to resist high dose rates) and an aluminum cooling plate to preserve sample temperature.
