ILR-33 AMBER 2K rocket – your quick, cost effective and dedicated access to suborbital flights for small experiments.

The ILR-33 AMBER 2K rocket has beed developed by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation in Warsaw, Poland. Our Institute has over 90 years of expeirence with R&D projects.

Examples of application include:
• Microgravity testing (200 s of 10-2 g)
• Validation of new avionics systems
• Attitude Control Systems verification
• 1U, 2U, 3U CubeSats qualification
• Test of booster separation mechanism
• On-ground infrastructure testing, e.g. radars
• Cost-effective atmosphere sounding

Use of green, hybrid propulsion allows easy adjustment of ceiling and mission profile. Focusing on relatively small experiments enables providing quick and dedicated access to experimentation which could be a complementary service to current programmes. The low unit cost of the rocket will enable an affordable, dedicated launch for smaller experiments.

Payloads with mass of 10kg can be flown to an altitude of 100km, and recovered safely from land and sea surface. Three successful flight tests took place to date, with altitude limited due to legal and safety restrictions on polish test grounds.
