The Platform for Advanced Characterisation Grenoble (PAC-G) is an entry point to characterisation services provided by the large-scale facilities of Grenoble. Created within the frame of the IRT Nanoelec (ANR-10-AIRT-05), the members of PAC-G are: The European Synchrotron ESRF, The European Neutron source ILL, the GENESIS platform at LPSC-CNRS Laboratory and CEA-Leti. The PAC-G proposes services such as:
-Radiation Hardness Testing: providing high and low energy neutrons as well as pulsed focused synchrotron X-rays for evaluating the sensitivity of electronic parts to radiative environments.
-Imaging and inspection: synchrotron X-ray micro-tomography, synchrotron X-ray nano-tomography and neutron tomography for failure analysis of electronic components, solder joints and PCB.
-Physio-chemical characterisation: structural characterisation of materials, thin-films and interfaces using neutrons and synchrotron X-rays.
