The Centre for Energy Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences is one of the research institutes having the biggest space heritage in Hungary. As a result, the number of space instruments made in MTA EK or its predecessors and delivered to space on board geophysical rockets, satellites, interplanetary space probes, manned spacecrafts and space stations is over 80. The Space Dosimetry Research Group (the former Space Electronics Group) was founded in 1970. The MTA Centre for Energy Research applies the MSZ EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Furthermore, its Space Research Laboratory is operated in accordance with the ECSS space industry standards.
